97% of Polling Cards for 2024 Presidential Election Distributed

The Postal Department has announced that approximately 97% of official polling cards for the 2024 presidential election have already been distributed.

Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe stated that the distribution, which began on September 3, was completed on September 14.

However, if any voter has not yet received their polling card, they can visit their local post office with their National Identity Card (NIC) after September 18 to verify their identity and collect the card. This option will remain available until election day, which is scheduled for September 21.
