The All Share Price Index (ASPI) of the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) reached a historic milestone today (12), surpassing the 14,000-point mark for the first time in its history.
The index rose by 150.72 points, or 1.09%, closing at 14,035.81, setting a new all-time high.
Meanwhile, the S&P SL20 increased by 43.17 points, or 1.04%, to close at 4,186.46 points.
The total turnover for the day was recorded at over Rs. 7.3 billion.
Earlier, on November 13, the ASPI had crossed the 13,000-point threshold for the first time since January 31, 2022.
