State Minister of Finance, Shehan Semasinghe, has announced that Aswesuma welfare beneficiaries can collect their September installments starting from Thursday (23). A total of Rs.8.571 billion has been disbursed to banks for the benefit of 1,377,000 Aswesuma beneficiary families.
Semasinghe stated that the installments for the subsequent months of October, November, and December will be disbursed before the end of the year. Furthermore, he mentioned that new applications for Aswesuma welfare are scheduled to be invited in December.
Additionally, State Minister Shehan Semasinghe reported that the arrears owed to the elderly, kidney patients, and disabled individuals have been duly settled.
