Cuban Ambassador Commits to Sharing Mosquito Control Expertise with Sri Lanka

During a meeting with Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena at Temple Trees, the Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Andres Marcelo Gonzalez Garrido, expressed his willingness to collaborate with Sri Lankan health authorities by sharing Cuban expertise in mosquito control activities.

Prime Minister Gunawardena expressed gratitude to Cuba for its steadfast support of Sri Lanka in various international forums, including the United Nations. He specifically acknowledged Cuba’s assistance during the Dengue epidemic and underscored the importance of ongoing collaboration in the field of medicine.

In response, Ambassador Garrido affirmed the commitment to share Cuban expertise in mosquito eradication with Sri Lankan health authorities, demonstrating a commitment to fostering cooperation in addressing public health challenges.
