The Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has undertaken measures to facilitate the transfer of 54 magistrates and district judges as part of the annual transfer procedure. The commission has announced that these transfers will come into effect from January 01, 2024.
In adherence to the annual transfer protocol, the District Judges of Kaduwela, Pugoda, Monaragala, Marawila, Kalutara, Matale, Elpitiya, Puttalam, Kilinochchi, and Anuradhapura will be relocated.
Simultaneously, magistrates from Homagama, Negombo, Bandarawela, Nuwara Eliya, Batticaloa, Kegalle, Elpitiya, Balapitiya, Medawachchiya, Nochchiyagama, Naula, Anamaduwa, Agunakolapelessa, and Kahatagasdigiliya have also been subject to transfers, as confirmed by the Judicial Service Commission.
