In a recent development at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Nepal, authorities apprehended a Sri Lankan woman, Kanthamatre Kavaskar, for being in possession of illegal gold. The arrest was made on Saturday night as she arrived from Dubai.
The Chief of TIA security, DIG Arjun Chand, revealed that Kavaskar was caught attempting to smuggle gold in powdered form, cleverly concealed within her undergarments. The confiscated amount of gold weighed 1 kilogram and 300 grams, as reported by the security official.
