The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) is scheduled to convene today, January 22, to make a final determination on the revised electric tariffs put forth by the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB).
Following the decision-making process, both the proposal and the PUCSL’s verdict will be disclosed to the public for a three-week period. During this time, public feedback will be considered, and the PUCSL will make necessary modifications to the proposal.
Subsequently, the finalized tariff revision will be submitted to the CEB for implementation. This step is integral in ensuring transparency, accountability, and responsiveness to the concerns and suggestions voiced by the public in the tariff-setting process.
