Education Minister Susil Premajayantha has revealed a comprehensive vocational education program, encompassing practical training and theoretical rehearsals, along with knowledge in information technology and English language. This initiative is specifically designed for students who successfully complete their Advanced Level (A/L) examination this year and is scheduled to commence in February.
The vocational training program will be rolled out across 299 selected schools throughout the island, with the primary objective of guiding students towards vocational education upon completing their high school education.
Students preparing for the GCE A/L Examination in January 2024 are encouraged to register for this program before February 9, as stated by the Minister. Additional details can be obtained from the Skills Development Officers at the Divisional Secretariats.
