Power Purchase Agreement Signed for 100 MW Ground Mount Solar Project in Siyambalanduwa

In a significant development, Rividhanavi (Pvt) Ltd. officially signed the Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) today for the 100 MW Ground Mount Solar project in Siyambalanduwa.

Announcing the milestone, Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera, shared on X, formerly Twitter, that the project, which had been publicly advertised by the CEB in September 2022, underwent evaluation throughout 2023. Subsequently, it was awarded to the lowest and successful bidder by the conclusion of 2023.

Rividhanavi (Pvt) Ltd. has not only secured the project but also committed to constructing a 27.5 Km transmission line. Once completed, the transmission line will be transferred to the CEB.

Rividhanavi (Pvt) Ltd. stands as a consortium comprising shareholders Lakdhanavi Ltd., Windforce PLC, and The Blue Circle PTE Ltd of Singapore. The anticipated investment for this venture is expected to reach USD 132 Million. This collaboration marks a significant stride towards advancing sustainable energy initiatives and further solidifies the commitment towards renewable energy goals in the region.
