Enhanced Rainy Conditions Expected in South-Western Sri Lanka

The prevailing rainy conditions in the south-western part of the island are expected to intensify over the next few days starting tomorrow (19), according to the forecasting division of the National Meteorological Centre.

Several spells of showers are anticipated in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western Provinces, as well as in the Galle, Matara, Kandy, and Nuwara-Eliya districts.

Additionally, strong winds of up to 50 km/h are expected over the western slopes of the central hills, Northern, North-Central, and North-Western Provinces, and in the Trincomalee, Hambantota, and Moneragala districts.
