The Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) reported that a minor tremor measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale occurred between 10:55 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. last night (18th).
The tremor was felt in areas including Vavuniya and Medawachchiya, and it was recorded at the seismic stations in Pallekele, Mahakanadarawa, and Hakmana.
