All-Island Three-Wheeler Drivers’ Association to Reduce Fares in Western Province

The All-Island Three-Wheeler Drivers’ Association has announced a reduction in three-wheeler fares within the Western Province, effective from tomorrow (15th July).

Lalith Dharmasekara, President of the association, stated that the fare per kilometre will be reduced by Rs. 10 starting tomorrow. During a press conference held today (14th July), he explained that from tomorrow, the fare will be Rs. 80 for each kilometre after the first, while the fare for the first kilometre will remain at Rs. 100.

Additionally, Dharmasekara noted that a 15% surcharge will continue to be applied to fares between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

He also emphasized that passengers can report any issues related to fares or service by providing proper information to the police, the Consumer Affairs Authority, or the Road Passenger Transport Authority.
