The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) met with President Ranil Wickremesinghe today and declared their unwavering support for his victory in the forthcoming presidential election, as reported by the President’s Media Division.
The SLFP’s Politburo and Central Committee convened a meeting this evening (31st) and made a final decision to back President Wickremesinghe in the upcoming election.
MP Duminda Dissanayake further stated, “Only the incumbent President, Ranil Wickremesinghe, has formally requested our support in writing.”
