Meteorology Department Forecasts Showers and Thundershowers Across Multiple Regions

Showers or thundershowers may occur in various other areas of the island during the evening or night.

The department also predicts fairly heavy showers exceeding 50 mm in some locations in the Eastern, Uva, and Northern provinces.

The general public is advised to take necessary precautions to minimize damage from temporary localized strong winds and lightning associated with thundershowers.
