The Election Commission has assigned electoral symbols to the independent candidates who submitted their nominations to contest in the 2024 Presidential Election, scheduled for September 21.
Seventeen independent candidates running in this year’s presidential election have been issued the following electoral symbols:
- Ranil Wickremesinghe – Gas Cylinder
- Sarath Keerthirathne – Football
- K.K. Piyadasa – Calculator
- Ajantha de Soyza – Pineapple
- K. Ananda Kularatne – Medal
- Akmeemana Dayarathana Thero – Black Board
- Siripala Amarasinghe – Tyre
- Sarath Fonseka – Lantern
- Antony Victor Perera – Motor Bicycle
- Mohamed Ilyaz – Syringe
- Marakkalamanage Premasiri – Pair of Spectacles
- Anura Sidney Jayarathne – Jackfruit
- D.M. Bandaranaike – Table Fan
- Mailawanagam Thilakaraja – Bird Feather
- Roshan Ranasinghe – Cricket Bat
