Representatives from 12 Countries to Observe 2024 Presidential Election, Announces Election Commission

The National Election Commission has announced that representatives from 12 countries have been invited to observe the 2024 Presidential Election. Election Commission Chairman R.M.A.L. Ratnayake revealed that these representatives include those from India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and the Maldives.

In addition, Commonwealth election observers and representatives from the Asian Election Observation Network will also be present. Ratnayake noted that election observers from the European Union (EU) have already arrived in Sri Lanka.

The international observers will monitor all election activities, including the voting process, and will provide a comprehensive report upon the conclusion of the polls.
