The Meteorology Department has announced that several spells of light showers are expected in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Southern, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts.
Showers or thundershowers may also occur in a few locations within the Badulla, Ampara, and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.
Additionally, fairly strong winds ranging from 30-40 kmph are anticipated at times over the Northern, North-Central, and North-Western provinces, and in the Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
The general public is kindly advised to take adequate precautions to minimize potential damage caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
