State Vehicles Returned to New Administration Following Presidential Election

Several state vehicles have been returned to the new administration following the election of Anura Kumara Dissanayake as President of Sri Lanka. Former ministers and government ministry officials returned the vehicles after the regime change.

Many of the vehicles have been parked at the relevant ministry premises and the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo. The return of the vehicles came after Parliamentarians and government officials were instructed to return them following the election of a new regime.

President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has pledged to reduce the number of vehicles allocated to ministers and state officials. It remains unclear what the President will do with the returned vehicles or how they will be allocated in the future.
