The submission of nominations for the 2024 general election begins today.
Chairman of the National Election Commission, R.M.A.L. Ratnayake, announced that all necessary arrangements have been made for the nomination process, which will remain open until noon on the 11th.
He also confirmed that no incidents related to the general election have been reported so far.
Police Spokesperson, Deputy Inspector General and Attorney-at-Law Nihal Thalduwa, stated that special security measures have been implemented around the nomination submission areas.
The 2024 general election is scheduled to take place on November 14th.
