The Ministry of Finance has announced an increase in the special import tax on key food items. The import tax on potatoes has been raised by Rs. 10 per kilogram, bringing the total to Rs. 60 per kilogram. Similarly, the tax on a kilogram of big onions has been increased by Rs. 20, now totaling Rs. 30 per kilogram.
