Acting Inspector General of Police (IGP) Priyantha Weerasuriya has dismissed rumors suggesting that the security detail for former President Ranil Wickremesinghe has been withdrawn.
He clarified that a total of 163 personnel are currently assigned to the former President’s security, including 50 officers from the Special Task Force, 6 VIP security officers, and several other reassigned officers.
