The Meteorology Department has announced that showers or thundershowers will occur intermittently in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-Western provinces, as well as in the Galle and Matara districts.
Additionally, showers or thundershowers are anticipated at various locations across the island during the afternoon or night.
The department also warns of fairly heavy showers exceeding 75 mm in certain areas within the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western, Uva, and Eastern provinces, along with Galle and Matara districts.
The general public is kindly advised to take necessary precautions to minimize potential damages caused by localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
