The Election Commission has announced that the preference numbers for candidates contesting the upcoming general election will be released by tomorrow, October 16.
According to a spokesperson for the commission, preference numbers from all districts have already been received and are currently being verified. Once this process is completed, the finalized documents will be resubmitted to the respective district secretaries.
The commission aims to complete the issuance of preference numbers today (October 15) and tomorrow (October 16).
Additionally, representatives from political parties are scheduled to meet with the Election Commission this morning to discuss key aspects of the parliamentary elections, including the maximum expenditure allowed per candidate.
