CERT Warns Public of Scam Involving Fake Government Grant Messages

The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) has issued a warning about a scam involving fraudulent messages falsely claiming that the government is offering financial grants.

Senior Engineer Charuka Damunupola from CERT reported numerous public complaints regarding fake messages promising a government grant of Rs. 50,000. He urged the public to avoid clicking on any links in these messages and to refrain from sharing them with others.
