The Health Ministry has issued a warning to the public about the potential spread of rat fever, also known as leptospirosis. The disease can spread through water contaminated by the urine of infected rats, with the bacteria entering the body through open wounds or cuts.
As a precaution, health officials strongly advise individuals with injuries to avoid contact with potentially contaminated water to reduce the risk of infection.
