Scattered Showers and Strong Winds Expected Across Sri Lanka

The Department of Meteorology forecasts showers or thundershowers at intervals across the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces, as well as the districts of Galle, Matara, and Mannar.

Some areas within the Western, Sabaragamuwa, and North-western provinces may experience fairly heavy showers exceeding 50 mm. Additionally, evening or nighttime showers are expected in several other areas across the island.

Intermittent strong winds of around 40 km/h are anticipated in the Northern, North-central, and North-western provinces, as well as in the Trincomalee and Hambantota districts.
