Prime Minister’s Office Medical Unit Reassigned to Public Health Service

On November 5, the medical unit previously established for the Prime Minister’s Office was officially dismantled and returned to public service.

The medical officers, staff, equipment, medicines, and two ambulances from the unit were formally handed over to the Ministry of Health by the Secretary to the Prime Minister, Pradeep Saputantri. The handover took place at the Prime Minister’s Office, where Mr. Saputantri presented the necessary documents and keys to Health Ministry Secretary Palitha Mahipala.

According to the PM’s Office, these resources will now be redirected to support public health needs under the Ministry of Health.
