The Ministry of Public Administration has confirmed that 27 official residences previously occupied by former ministers have been returned to the government.
Only one official residence remains to be returned. This property was assigned to the late State Minister Sanath Nishantha, and the delay is due to unsettled rent issues.
The ministry stated that efforts are underway to resolve the matter and facilitate the return of the residence to the government soon.
