The Ilankai Thamil Arasu Kachchi (ITAK) has nominated its General Secretary, Dr. P. Sathiyalingam, for the party’s National List seat in Parliament.
Dr. Sathiyalingam contested the 2024 General Election from the Vanni District on behalf of ITAK but was unable to secure a seat through preference votes, as the party only won one seat in the district.
As a result, Dr. Sathiyalingam will enter Parliament through the National List seat secured by ITAK.
