Sri Lanka has been named the most popular solo travel destination for 2025, according to Flash Pack’s latest trends report.
Renowned for its unique cultural experiences, breathtaking beaches, and picturesque tea plantations, Sri Lanka climbed to the top spot, rising from fourth place in 2024.
The report also highlights a demographic shift among solo travelers, with the average age increasing from 36 to 39 since the pandemic, signaling a growing maturity in the independent adventure tourism market. This change aligns with the rise of “social travel,” which facilitated over 160,000 new friendships, including 50,000 in 2024 alone.
Asia remains a hotspot for solo adventurers, with Bali and Mexico also ranking among the top destinations.
