Anti-Terrorism Bill not yet tabled in parliament, AG tells court

The Attorney General today (Oct. 13) informed the Supreme Court that the Anti-Terrorism Bill has not been presented to the parliament as yet.

This was communicated by the Additional Solicitor General who appeared on behalf of Attorney General, when the petitions challenging the Bill were taken up before a judge bench of the top court this morning.

The petitions in question had been filed by National People’s Power (NPP) parliamentarians Vijitha Herath and Dr. Harini Amarasuriya.
