Anura Kumara Dissanayake Calls for Principled Politics at Kegalle Rally

Anura Kumara Dissanayake, the presidential candidate of the National People’s Power (NPP), underscored the importance of principled politics during a public rally in Kegalle yesterday afternoon.

Addressing the crowd, Dissanayake asserted that the NPP is the only party that truly upholds political principles. “Only the National People’s Power has principled politics,” he declared, criticizing the current political environment, where some parliament members are associated with crimes, fraud, and the promotion of racism.

He stressed that the NPP’s political platform stands apart, not affiliated with such individuals or factions. Dissanayake urged voters to differentiate between good and bad candidates, emphasizing the urgency of taking decisive action.

“We will win on the 21st of September,” Dissanayake confidently stated, outlining his vision for post-election reforms, including a significant constitutional amendment. He warned against political opportunism, adding, “If you crossover, your membership is over.”
