Asiri Port City Hospital (Pvt) Company has put forth a venture to establish a hospital in Colombo Port City with a substantial investment of USD 100 million.
The project has garnered government support, as it aligns with strategic priorities outlined in the Colombo Port City (Guidelines on the Grant of Exemptions or Incentives to Businesses of Strategic Importance) Regulations, No. 2 of 2023.
The proposal, presented by the President in his capacity as the Minister of Investment Promotion, seeks to grant relevant exemptions or incentives to the Asiri Hospital project under the stipulated provisions. Additionally, the intention is to officially declare the project as a primary business of strategic importance through a gazette order. Subsequently, the plan is to table the said order in Parliament, a move that has received approval from the Cabinet of Ministers.
