Ban on Tuition and Workshops for 2024 Advanced Level Exam Effective from Midnight

All lectures, tuition classes, workshops, and seminars related to the 2024 Advanced Level examination will be prohibited from midnight today (19), the Department of Examinations has announced. Legal action will be taken against those who do not adhere to this regulation.

Examination monitoring has been intensified this year. In addition to officials from the Department of Examinations, officers from provincial and zonal offices will also be deployed to oversee monitoring activities. Each monitoring officer will be responsible for supervising 20 examination centers within a 15-day period.

The Advanced Level examination will take place from the 25th of this month until December 20, across 2,312 centers nationwide, with 333,185 candidates expected to sit for the exam.

Additionally, only the Chief Invigilator and the Assistant Chief Invigilator will be allowed to bring mobile phones into examination halls, a measure implemented to address issues that have occurred in the recent past.
