Two individuals, including a British woman and a Sri Lankan man, were apprehended in possession of Kush and hashish drugs in Toppass, Nuwara Eliya, according to police statements.
The arrests were made by the Nuwara Eliya Crime Investigation Bureau following a thorough search of the van in which the suspects were travelling.
Law enforcement officials confiscated 18 grams and 920 milligrams of Kush from the British woman, aged 35, while the Sri Lankan driver of the van was found with 2 grams and 600 milligrams of Hashish.
Identified as a 28-year-old resident of Nuwara Eliya, the driver was apprehended along with the British woman during the operation.
