The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has submitted a proposal to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) to reduce electricity tariffs. The proposal is based on the current pricing formula.
The PUCSL will review the submission, and if approved, it will announce the percentage reductions in tariffs.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Power and Energy has confirmed that the President will appoint new members to fill the vacancies in the PUCSL.
This is the third time this year that the CEB has proposed a reduction in electricity tariffs.
