The Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) announced that proposals to reduce electricity tariffs will be submitted to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) by next week.
CEB spokesperson Dhanushka Parakramasinghe stated that earlier proposals for tariff reductions had already been presented to the PUCSL. However, the commission requested revisions and asked for resubmission by November 8.
In response, the CEB requested an additional two weeks to make the necessary adjustments and update the calculations. The revised tariff reduction proposals will be submitted to the PUCSL next week, according to the spokesperson.
