Commissioner General of Examinations Highlights Minor Timetable Change for 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level Exam

Amid preparations for the 2023 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination, Commissioner General of Examinations Amith Jayasundara urges students to take note of a minor change in the timetable. Mr. Jayasundara clarified that adjustments were made to the A/L examination timetable due to the inclusion of the Korean Language as a new subject.

He advised all exam applicants not to rely on the previous exam timetable, cautioning that some websites might display outdated or incorrect schedules. The revised timetable is clearly outlined in the examination admission cards provided to applicants for their convenience.

“There is no need to seek information from any other source. Your admission paper includes a separate section detailing the date and time slots for each subject, subject numbers, and the medium of instruction. This information is sufficient, and there is no need to search for additional details about the timetable,” he emphasized.

Additionally, the Commissioner General assured students that a special program is underway to arrange alternative examination centers for candidates in disaster-prone areas, with priority given to Anuradhapura, Kekirawa, Polonnaruwa, Passara, Ampara, Batticaloa, and Hasalaka.

Students facing difficulties in reaching examination centers due to adverse weather conditions are encouraged to seek assistance from the nearest Zonal Education Office or Disaster Management Units, ensuring timely and hassle-free access to the exams.
