The Natural Hazards Early Warning Centre of the Meteorology Department announced that the south-west monsoon established over the island will continue to bring prevailing rain and wind conditions.
Heavy showers exceeding 100 mm are likely in some areas of the Sabaragamuwa Province and the Nuwara-Eliya district.
Additionally, fairly heavy showers of around 75 mm are expected in parts of the Western and North-Western Provinces, as well as the Kandy, Galle, and Matara districts.
