Of the 38 candidates who contested the election, only 13 have complied with the commission’s regulations so far.
Notable candidates who have submitted their expenditure reports include Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka, Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe, and Janaka Ratnayake.
The commission has mandated that all candidates submit their financial disclosures by 3 p.m. tomorrow.
