The number of dengue cases reported islandwide has risen to 30,057, with 12 deaths.
So far this month, 1,818 dengue cases have been reported. The highest number of cases has been recorded in the Colombo district, with a total of 6,910.
Health officials urge the general public to eliminate mosquito breeding grounds, as the prevailing monsoon season is increasing the spread of dengue.
