Deputy Postmaster General Rajitha Ranasinghe announced that the distribution of over 10 million official polling cards for the 2024 presidential election has been completed. The Postal Department aims to finish delivering the remaining cards to voters in the coming days, with the entire distribution expected to be completed by September 14.
Ranasinghe advised that voters who have not received their official polling cards by this date can visit their local post office with their National Identity Card (NIC) to verify their identity and obtain their polling card. This service will be available until the presidential election day on September 21.
According to the Election Commission, 17.44 million voters are registered for the upcoming election.
