National People’s Power (NPP) MP Dr. Harini Amarasuriya was sworn in as the new Prime Minister of Sri Lanka just a short while ago. The ceremony took place at the Presidential Secretariat in Colombo, where she took her oath before President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
Dr. Amarasuriya now becomes the third female Prime Minister in the history of Sri Lanka.
