The Election Commission has confirmed its preparedness to conduct a general election at any time. Commissioner General of Elections, Saman Sri Ratnayake, revealed that the estimated cost of holding the general election would be around Rs. 11 billion.
Additionally, the Commission stated that the voter registration list compiled for the recent presidential election will be utilized for the upcoming general election.
