Cabinet Spokesman Minister Vijitha Herath announced that the fertilizer subsidy of Rs. 25,000 for paddy farmers will commence in the Ampara District on Monday, October 14. He made this statement during the Cabinet press conference held today, October 8.
“The Maha season is about to start, and we will provide this fertilizer subsidy to the people of the Ampara District by next Monday. Following this, the relevant subsidy will be extended to farmers in Polonnaruwa, Anuradhapura, Mahiyanganaya, and the Mahaweli regions,” he added.
