The Inland Revenue Department (IRD) has notified all taxpayers that today, September 30, is the final deadline for income tax payments for the Year of Assessment 2023/2024.
In its notice, the IRD cautioned that failure to meet the deadline will result in penalties and interest charges. Importantly, these penalties and interest for non-payment or late payment of taxes will not be waived or reduced under any circumstances.
Taxpayers are also reminded to settle any outstanding default taxes by October 30, 2024. After this date, the IRD will initiate stringent collection measures, including legal action, as stipulated by the Inland Revenue Act.
