The Ministry of Finance has announced a reduction in the cess levy on imported cement by Rs. 1 per kilogram, effective from September 6, 2024.
This revision was made under the authority granted to Ranil Wickremesinghe as the Minister of Investment Promotion, in accordance with Section 14 of the Sri Lanka Export Development Act, No. 40 of 1979, with the agreement of the Minister of Finance, Economic Stabilization, and National Policies.
