Five individuals were injured during a bear attack in the Diyabeduma area in Polonnaruwa recently.
The injured were admitted to the Provincial Hospital Diyabeduma and later transferred to the General Hospital Polonnaruwa.
Accordingly, officials from the Department of Wildlife had arranged for the bear to be tranquilised and relocated to a different area.
