The Presidential Media Division has announced a focus on digitizing social welfare programs for low-income families. A discussion on this initiative was held yesterday afternoon, led by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
The meeting highlighted the need to digitize information on the paddy storage system to help stabilize rice prices and implement long-term solutions to rice shortages.
As part of the upcoming school term, plans are underway to digitize the subsidy distribution and fertilizer subsidy programs aimed at supporting children from low-income families.
Additionally, President Dissanayake appointed Dr. Hans Vijayasuriya as Chief Presidential Adviser on the Digital Economy.
