The Department of Meteorology forecasts showers or thundershowers today (Nov. 7) in the Northern and North-Central Provinces, as well as in Puttalam and Trincomalee districts.
Fairly heavy rainfall, exceeding 50mm, is expected in some areas of the Northern Province, the department noted.
Additionally, the Central, Sabaragamuwa, Uva, and Southern Provinces will experience showers or thundershowers in the evening or night.
The public is advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate damage from temporary strong winds and lightning during these thundershowers.
